Not the typical outlet I turn to for creator economy coverage… but maybe that’s the point.
Rolling Stone just dropped its ‘Top Creators of 2025’ list - and while you won’t find deep media analysis here, you will find proof that creators that continue to make headlines.
This is legacy media borrowing relevance from those who’ve already built it. And it’s a win-win:
• Creators celebrate the recognition
• Rolling Stone gets the clicks and shares from creators sharing the news
• Brands take note of who’s shaping culture, not just following it
A few of my faves made the cut:
✨ Bran Flakes (Brandon Edelman) - the king of self-aware cynicism, situationships you want to root for, and life chats sharing his unique yet highly relatable perspective
✨ Tefi - an emotional compass for Gen Z, blending hot takes, street style interviews, and so much more.
I’ve also had the joy of working with many of the names on this list (including teaming up with Tefi for No7 Beauty Company for a 3-part series alongside my celeb fave Tayshia Adams 💅).
It’s a full-circle moment to see them recognized, and I hope we can continue to shine a spotlight on great creators who are disrupting the space. I believe when brands show up alongside influential voices in real ways, they stop sounding like ads - and start becoming part of the conversation.
